Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a software running on PC and Mac that can analyze several factors to SEO a website. As Integrity that we presented a few months ago, Screaming Frog used to analyze the links of a site by highlighting key indicators to optimal SEO.

The free version of the software can analyze up to 500 connections, to more complete analysis will have to go to a premium version for 99 pounds / year.

When launching the software, it Crawle all site links and analysis from the perspective of providing vital information for referencing. The analysis is done fairly quickly and then gives access to a wealth of information on web pages.

* The title tag, description and keyword (and length),
* The robots meta tags and refresh,
* The contents of h1 and h2 tags,
* The canonical URL,
* The robots meta tags and meta-refresh,
* The number of internal and external links on the page.

Moreover, Screaming Frog offers access to external information in just a few clicks. When done right click on a URL, the context menu offers to check if the page is indexed in different search engines and links it with Yahoo! Site Explorer, or Majestic SEO SEOmoz Open Site Explorer.

In a table below, it is then possible to analyze the links on each page. This one will not only have technical information on the page as http code, weight, depth and encoding the page but also a complete analysis of the links on the page.

Indeed, the second table is used to filter the links on each page according to its destination (internal or external) and to analyze each of the links according to various criteria:

* The landing page,
* The anchor used,
* The alt attribute if it acts a link to image
* And if the link is nofollow or not,
