Google PageRank – Definition, History and Development
The basic idea of the PageRank algorithm is to look at incoming links to a website as a recommendation. The more links point to a page, the more important this. The scale of PageRank is from 0 to 10, with the value 10 represents the upper end, and very few sites have a PageRank of 10 (in Germany there is not one).
This page gets a lot of incoming links a higher PageRank, and the higher the PageRank of the link submitter site, the higher the value of the link receiving side. The idea is that a link (recommendation) from an important page (higher PageRank) is worth more than a page that itself has a low PageRank.
The concept of PageRank was Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University designed by and led to the creation of Google, by two. This result was initially based solely on the PageRank of matches sorted fast.
