Data from Google Webmaster Tools soon Analytics
Google announced yesterday at SMX Advanced in Seattle that the data from Google Webmaster Tools would soon be available in Google Analytics.
On the occasion of SMX Advanced, which took place yesterday and ending today, Google announced that its tool for webmasters would be closer to Google Analytics as some data from the webmaster tools would soon be available in Analytics.
The announcement was fully confirmed on the blogs of Google. For now, the integration of data from Google Webmaster Tools in Analytics is being tested but is expected to arrive during the month of June for all users.
Specifically, a new report will be created in the report ‘Traffic Sources’ to Google Analytics, it is called ‘Search Engine Optimization’ on the English version and will probably be called ‘SEO’ on the French version of the measurement tool hearing.
This report includes several sub-sections: an overview, a report on the search query, with details of the number of impressions, average position, click through rate, etc.. and a section on landing pages.
This new feature of Google Analytics will also apply filters on these new relationships to create reports more relevant.
